Frequently Asked Questions...

Q: Is Voicemail part of ProVoice 2008?
A: Yes.  And there is no hard limit on how much voicemail messages or voicemail boxes you can have.  This limitation is based on the computer running ProVoice 2008.  We've seen a 20GB hard disk (which you can no longer purchase),  be more than enough for 20 users, with 60 messages, of an average 1 minute voicemail message.

Q: Auto Attendant included, too?
Most PBX systems do not have an integrated voicemail system, which makes it difficult to manage and maintain.  Further, since the auto attendant isn't part of the PBX, it needs to be carefully configured in order for the voicemail and telephone extensions to work properly.

With ProVoice 2008, all of thes pieces are integrated and part of the same system.  You will immediately see the benefits of an integrated system!

Q: What kind of features can I expect with ProVoice 2008?
A: Most likely, you will not lose any features, but gain many more.  Just to name a few: inbound and outbound routing, DID, announcements, blacklisting, day/night control, follow me, IVR (auto attendant), queue priorities, ring groups, time conditions, time groups, music on hold, pagin, interncom, call parking, Caller ID, Call Waiting, and DND.  If you would like a list of these features, please contact us and we will send a PDF document to you!

Q: Will I lose my telephone number by switching to VoIP?
A: No. You can keep your exisiting telephone number and even your current telephone lines. Adding additional phone lines by using the Internet is the first step you want to take, however.  Then you want to reduce your current telephone lines with your telephone provider and transition these calls to come in via the Internet.

Q: Is the voice quality and uptime using the Internet the same as what I have with my phone now?
A: For the most part, Yes.  What it really comes down to is the type of Internet access and the ISP you have.  A lot of technical advances over the years has made VoIP a reality, but the truth is, you will not have 100% uptime.  Consider how often you lose Internet connectivity and you can determine how often you will have phone outages.  Remember, ProVoice 2008 also works with your current phone lines, so you can always fall back on your reliable, but expensive land lines.

Q: Is there a way for me to find out how much activity is occuring?
A: Yes.  You get real-time reporting in a tabular and grapic format.  For more information on the call detail reporting, please contact us and we will send a PDF document to you!
